Is-sinjal għal JUM L-INDIPENDENZA għandu żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel l-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ I fin-nofs bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa. Is-swaba’ ż-żgħar jiltaqgħu imbagħad l-idejn jimxu lejn il-ġnub. (ii) Imbagħad isir is-sinjal għal JUM. Id waħda tieħu s-sinjal għal 1 bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa u bil-ponta tal-werrej tħares lejn il-ġenb. L-id tinżel fil-ġenb mil-livell ta’ fuq tar-ras ’l isfel livell tal-ispalla
The sign for INDEPENDENCE DAY has two parts. (i) First, the hands take the shape for I in the middle with palms facing inwards. The pinkies meet and then the hands move to the sides. (ii) Then the sign for DAY is made with one hand that takes the shape of 1 with palm facing inwards and the index fingertip pointing to the side. The hand moves downwards from the top of the head to shoulder level.
